Financial Literacy

Project Info

Overview

In today’s complex economic world, financial literacy is no longer optional—it’s essential. Yet many young people enter adulthood without understanding money management, saving, budgeting, or smart spending, and schools rarely address this gap systematically. “Smart Money, Bright Future” is a 3-day, interactive program designed to introduce students to core financial concepts in an engaging and practical way, helping them develop responsible habits early on.

Why it matters

Early exposure to financial literacy fosters informed decision-making, reduces future financial stress, and builds a foundation for economic empowerment. The program also aligns with life skills education, promoting critical thinking, personal responsibility, and confidence in managing money.

What students will learn

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand basic concepts of money, income, needs vs. wants, and budgeting.
  • Make informed decisions about spending and saving.
  • Learn about banking, interest, and the importance of saving.
  • Gain awareness of digital financial tools and online financial safety.

Explore entrepreneurship and earning opportunities for youth.
